This customer was experiencing water flowing directly across their driveway every time it rained, causing erosion and washing away the driveway surface. To permanently solve the drainage issue, our team installed a new culvert beneath the driveway to safely redirect the water underneath the driving surface instead of allowing it to flow across it.
After excavating for the new culvert, we installed the drainage pipe, backfilled and compacted the area, then built a rip rap rock drainage channel to control water flow and help prevent future erosion. Finally, we regraded the surrounding area to ensure water naturally flows through the culvert and away from the driveway.
The result is a durable drainage solution that will protect the driveway from future washouts, improve water management on the property, and reduce ongoing maintenance for the homeowner.
